Freshy

Glenn Haywood was a ventriloquist that hailed from the San Francisco Bay area. He worked as an MC, Magician and Ventriloquist. He performed on the Ed Sullivan Show but his claim to fame was his work with Holsum Bread company and did many commercials for them with his figure "Freshy". This figure was made in the mid 1950's by Marshall and is one of very few that had these large round eyes. He has side to side self centering eyes, crossing eyes and of course slot jaw. This was Glenn's back up figure and he is in near mint condition because he was not used. When I purchased him it was just the head but I had an original Marshall body and hands so now he is a complete figure. Here is a superb example of Frank Marshall's carving talent.
