1946 Figure

Frank Marshall carved figures for many famous ventriloquists and this one was just that. It was carved for ventriloquist Roy Douglas. Later it was owned by Terry Bennett. Terry used this figure as his female figure called Missy. (You can see Missy in a couple of the videos on the Terry Bennett pages - click here)

I have also pictured the freight bill to Roy Douglas from Frank Marshall. This figure was made in 1946 and is a pretty loaded example with the following functions. Side to side self centering eyes, raising eyebrows, crying effect, right eye winks and he sticks out his tongue.

He is a smaller size standing just 34" tall. Roy Douglas was a very small man and maybe that is why he used a smaller figure.

Check out the price that was paid by Roy for 2 figures from Marshall in 1946!!!
