Foy Brown was a
vaudeville performer with his brother in a troupe called the Foy
Brothers. They performed magic, juggling, mind reading,
ventriloquism and acting. Foy used Figures made by Revello Pettee as
his mainstay but, he himself was a prolific builder of figures from
the 1940's through to the 1970's. The two I have pictured are very
nice examples of his work. He made terrific bodies for his figures
and some of the bodies had the rocking clavicle, which allowed the
figure to actually look down. He also made shrugging shoulders and
wiggle wig. |
