Jack Coats

Jack Coats was a great ventriloquist figure (dummy) maker in the sixties and early seventies. He had a style all his own and he carved them all by hand. This is a great example of Jack's work.

This fellow has slot jaw, side to side eye movement, winkers/blinkers, hand shaker, and there is a battery box attached inside the body with the wires cut. I have not been able to determine what this was for but I am presuming his eyes may have lit up. I also included a picture of Jack's business card.
